How to distinguish HEPA filter grade? What is True HEPA? #truehepafilter #HEPA
Dec 31, 2018

When it comes to True HEPA (true efficiency), what we have to talk about is: What is the filtration efficiency of the air purifier filter? Many people will say, “I use the filter grade is H13”, then what is the evaluation criteria of H13? According to the EU EN1882 standard, the filter mesh with a particle size of 0.3 um has a filtration efficiency higher than 99.97%, which is called H13. According to the current domestic statistical data, the purification efficiency of domestic air purification products is still in the range of 90%~95%@0.3 um, which is at best a sub-efficient filter. To be careful
Generally, HEPA is divided into five grades according to its filtration efficiency: coarse filter, medium filter, sub-high filter, HEPA high-efficiency filter and ultra-high-efficiency filter. Details are shown below.

High-efficiency_particulate_arrestance referred to as HEPA high-efficiency particulate filter, we often call it HEPA filter or high-efficiency air filter, standard HEPA filter is widely used in medical facilities, automobiles, aircraft and household products. The HEPA standard is set by DOE U.S. Department of Energy: the filtration efficiency of 0.3 micron dust particles needs to reach more than 99.97%.

We are all talking about filtration. What are the forms of HEPA filtration? What is the principle? To be careful
HEPA filtration can be divided into four forms: interception, gravity, air flow, van der Waals force
1. The interception mechanism is commonly understood as the sieve. Generally, large particles of 0.5 and 10 microns are intercepted by the sieve. A kind of
2. Under the influence of gravity, the velocity of dust particles with small volume and high density decreases when they pass through HEPA, and they naturally settle in HEPA as sediment settles in the river bottom. 3. The uneven weaving of the filter screen results in a large number of air whirlpools, and small particles are adsorbed to HEPA under the action of air cyclone. 4. Ultrafine particles collide with HEPA fiber layer in motion and are purified by van der Waals force. If the viral carrier is less than 0.3 um, it is purified under the influence of this force.
